Composition
Tourmaline, a crystal-like mineral compound, is made up of several various kinds of elements such as aluminum, copper, and potassium. Tourmaline is a semi-precious mineral. Many stones come in a range of shades and hues. Black Tourmaline is high in iron.
History
The Ceylonese gems, which were imported to Europe in large amounts by the Dutch East India Company, were brought to meet European interest and desire for jewels and oddities. Tourmaline was referred to as the Ceylonese Magnet because it was able to draw and then repel fiery ashes. Tourmalines were used by scientists in the 19th century to polarize light by focusing light on a polished gem .
Healing Properties
Black Tourmaline calms anxiety, particularly the symptoms that are induced by dark or enclosed spaces, or periods when the environment is disturbing. It helps with the apprehension of dentists or physicians. Carry this crystal for defense against complainers, naysayers, cynical neighbours or mental vampires who overwhelm you with their issues, and who are unwilling to take a proactive part in shaping their circumstances. It offers pain control and helps in the relief of muscle aches, numbness and scar tissue.
